About HPIE

India, with a population of over 1.4 billion, is on an accelerated path toward becoming a Viksit Bharat by 2047. While healthcare coverage and policy reforms have expanded significantly in recent years, infrastructure gaps remain a critical challenge. India currently has an estimated 1.3–1.5 hospital beds per 1,000 population, compared to the global average of nearly 3 beds per 1,000, indicating the need for millions of additional beds, modernized facilities, and stronger rural urban distribution to meet future demand. Simultaneously, evolving disease patterns, rising non-communicable diseases, climate risks, and public health emergencies demand infrastructure that is not just expanded - but intelligent, sustainable, and resilient. HPIE (Healthcare Planning & Infrastructure Exhibition, Conference & Awards) 2026, now in its 5th edition, is a premier national platform uniting policymakers, architects, hospital owners, infrastructure companies, technology leaders, and healthcare administrators under the theme HPIE 2026: Building AI-Enabled, Sustainable & Resilient Healthcare Infrastructure for India@2047 to address these pressing challenges.
